Wodonga Council does not currently have a dedicated media agency.
Wodonga Council has put its media and marketing account out to pitch, calling for submissions from agencies and contractors to deliver a range of advertising and communications services, AdNews can reveal.
The local government body in northeast Victoria is seeking support across advertising, media planning and buying, as well as placement and other related marketing functions, according to tender documents published late last month.
The tender is open until 12pm on Tuesday, July 22, and is aimed at suppliers with demonstrated experience in integrated marketing service delivery.
While the size of the account is not disclosed, the successful agency will be tasked with supporting communications with the local community, alongside campaign and promotional activity tied to council initiatives.
Wodonga Council does not currently have a dedicated media agency, instead managing communications in-house and working with community groups and local media for distribution.
The tender comes after Cyclone Creative retained Visit Albury Wodonga’s creative account in 2024, a joint initiative with Wodonga Council.
After a competitive pitch, Albury Wodonga's head of visitor experience and economy, Suzy Watson, said the council continued to be impressed with Cyclone Creative’s strategic and cultural thinking and its deep understanding of the tourism landscape.
AdNews contacted Wodonga Council for comment.
