WiredCo. a former AdNews Employer of the Year (Headcount under 75) winner, has partnered with telehealth platform Updoc to give staff free, unlimited GP appointments, including for employees' children under 18 and those on working visas.
The deal provides 24/7 access to Australian-based doctors, with an average wait time of under 60 minutes from booking to consultation. Staff can access medical advice, prescriptions and referrals without in-person visits.
The arrangement sits under WiredCo.'s WiredWellness program, which also covers remote-first working, unlimited mental health leave, and what the agency claims is Australia's first parental leave for pets.
Ange Hampton, founder and CEO of WiredCo., said the partnership reflects the agency's broader approach to its people.
"We make what we do better by putting people first," Hampton said.
"That mindset doesn't stop at the work we deliver, it's woven into our culture and the way we operate every day.
“Supporting and looking after our team sits at the centre of who we are, and this partnership with Updoc is another step in ensuring our people have the support they need to thrive."
Samantha Nunura, general manager of client services and business operations, said she had used the service when her son developed an ear infection.
"Through Updoc, I was able to secure a doctor's appointment within 15 minutes," Nunura said.
"The doctor immediately diagnosed the issue and prescribed medication we could pick up that same night, allowing us to start treatment right away. In a normal situation, my son would have had to endure the pain overnight and I would have had to take the next morning off to rush around trying to get him seen by a doctor."
Lauren Crawford, head of Updoc for Business, said agency demands made the initiative notable.
"Agency life is famously fast-paced, high-pressure and deadline-driven, so it's incredibly impressive to see measures being put in place to ensure the team can continue to fire on all cylinders," Crawford said.
