Pacific Magazines weekly title, Who Magazine has taken out the cover of the year award at last night's Maggies for its 2013 Who's sexiest people cover featuring Australia's X Factor judges.

This is the second year in the a row the title has taken out top honours. The same Who cover also took out The Maggie for best cover in the weekly category beating out Take 5, OK, That's Life and even another cover from its own title.

Last night at the event, Who editor Nicky Briger said : “We're so thrilled about this, it's the second year in a row, we are particularly thrilled about this because it was a bit of a risk," she said.

"We usually do a lot of pouty, beautiful, celebrities for sexy and we asked all the judges to get on board. We thought there was no way when we asked the judges to take off all their clothes and appear on the cover of a magazine, that they would say yes.”

The other winners on the night were:

Business and Trade: BeanScene Magazine (April 2014)

Fashion, Health and Beauty: Marie Claire (May 2014)

Food and Wine: Donna Hay (December/January 2014)

House and Garden: Country Style (March 2014)

Lifestyle: The Australian Women's Weekly (October 2013)

Motoring: 4WD Touring Australia (April 2014)

Newspaper Inserted Magazines (NIMs): Sunday Style (27 October 2013)

Science, Tech and Nature: Australian Wildlife Secrets (01 June 2014)

Specialist: Oh! Magazine (Issue 5)

Sports: Tracks (February 2014)

Weeklies: Who Magazine (25 November 2013)

The Maggies is an annual award initiated by iSUBSCRiBE to recognise the best magazine covers of the previous year. 200 magazine covers were initially shortlisted by a panel of publishing industry luminaries. The voting was then opened to the general public over a five week period. This year more than 75,000 people voted for their favourite covers online.
