Independent creative and content agency Weld Stories has expanded its team with Cassie Staples as client experience manager and designers D'Arcy Bush and Mia Walsh.

Founded in 2021 by Shannon O'Meara, former multimedia director at Medium Rare, Weld Stories' clients have grown to now include Microsoft, Monash University, World Bank, The Ascott Limited, Quest Apartment Hotels, Westpac Foundation, Women for Election, Shared Beginnings, Fitted for Work and more.

"We've had intentional growth in the last year. Purpose-led brands and social enterprises know quality storytelling with emotion is driving engagement. In this era of social slopification, the stories with heart are cutting through," said founder and managing director, Shannon O'Meara.

"These women join a team of deeply curious, creative and values-driven storytellers who care about the work and the communities behind it.

"Our pro bono work has really helped to bring the right values-aligned talent onboard. We're proud of our consistent pro bono commitment to social enterprises working with women and children, First Nations communities and refugees."

Staples said her background in elite sport has shaped her approach to collaboration.

"Sport has shown me the power of community, resilience and representation,” she said.

“I've worked alongside programs supporting inclusive sport and social impact initiatives, so joining an agency that genuinely wants to create positive change felt like a natural fit."
