The combined broadcast and BVOD ecosystem reached 87.2% of Australians each month, representing 24.1 million people, according to OzTAM's VOZ Total TV Viewing Report for the December 2025 half year.
And Australians were found to spend more than 41 hours per month viewing broadcast TV and/or VDOD, with most on home TV sets.
BVOD minutes grew 27% compared to 2024 with 2.5 billion minutes weekly, driven by continued growth in live streaming.
“The VOZ H2 data confirms a consistently strong Total TV market, with BVOD continuing to deliver significant incremental reach, particularly for audiences aged under 55. The TV set remains firmly at the centre of broadcaster viewing," said Karen Halligan, chief executive officer at OzTAM.
Broadcast TV and BVOD together reached an average of 19.4 million Australians, or 70.4% of the population each week, growing to 24.1 million, or 87.2% across each month. 80% of all key demographics were reached by Total TV.
BVOD-only viewing added about 11% of reach to broadcast TV on a weekly basis, with specific demographics (those among 16-39 and 25-54 of age) rising to 16% weekly.
