AdNews handpicks a creative agency to spin their magic and create a cover for each magazine edition.

To celebrate their work, we’re letting readers vote for their favourite cover of 2021 with the winner to receive a limited edition ‘A’ trophy.

In 2021, we had Engine Group, Howatson+White, Innocean Australia, AWARD School student William Labourier, Special New Zealand, and Houston Group create a cover. They tackled briefs from the decline of third-party cookies, to creativity, and the transformation of experiential marketing during the pandemic.

AdNews readers can vote for their favourite cover here but in case you missed any, we have the full wrap right below.

January/February
To start the year off, AdNews looked at how creativity had been impacted by the pandemic. Engine Group designed the cover with a focus on the ‘renaissance’ taking place throughout the industry. You can vote for the January/February design here.

March/April
Next up we had Howatson+White, now Howatson+Company, create a cover about experiential marketing. The cover is an ode to the physical that can never be replicated by the virtual. You can vote for the March/April design here.

May/June
Third-party cookies have been a big topic throughout the industry. To highlight their demise, Innocean Australia used real cockroaches and a mouldy cookie. You can vote for the May/June design here.

 July/August
For this issue, AdNews asked AWARD School students to answer a brief on diversity in creativity. There were more than 120 ideas submitted nationally, but ultimately William Labourier from NSW was selected to design the cover. You can vote for the July/August design here.

September/October
We turned our focus to New Zealand for this edition to look at how the industry had been tracking during the pandemic. Special New Zealand worked their magic. You can cover for the September/October design here.

 The Annual
For the final edition of the year, Houston Group designed a cover that looked ahead to a year free from lockdowns and restrictions. You can vote for the annual here.
