VERSA wins $2.8m digital transformation project with City of Port Phillip

Digital design and voice experience (VX) agency VERSA has been awarded a $2.8 million contract to transform Port Phillip Council’s digital presence, following an extended procurement process.

VERSA was selected to bring the local government’s web services up to date and deliver Port Phillip Council’s stated brief of "a harmonised, expanded and revitalised web offering". 

“With our experience in the government sector and service delivery using cutting-edge technology, the VERSA team is in a unique position to support Port Phillip’s digital transformation,” VERSA managing director Jonny Clow says.

The government contract, scheduled to commence in August, will see VERSA as key to the delivery, implementation and maintenance of Port Phillip Council’s expanded digital services portfolio.

The transformation aims to improve service delivery for users accessing via mobile devices, which for more than half of web traffic to the Council’s sites.

VERSA is tasked with standardising the Council’s current suite of websites hosted across various platforms, unifying the digital presence into a streamlined and contemporary user experience, while expanding the catalogue of services available to area residents.

In addition to enhancing ease of use, it will enable significant maintenance savings for the Council and more options for customers to choose how they interact with the City of Port Phillip.

The agency, formerly known as Deepend Melbourne, is the first Australian agency to implement its highly successful four-day working week. It won Employer of the Year at the AdNews Agency of the Year awards 2019.
