Creative shop VANDAL has appointed Clíona Manahan business lead and Kate Turner producer as it expands its leadership and production teams.

Manahan will lead business strategy, operations and growth, working with the leadership team on client partnerships and the studio’s multidisciplinary offering.

She joins with more than 20 years’ experience across agency, in-house and hybrid environments.

“I’m excited to join VANDAL at a pivotal moment in Australia, as craft comes back into focus,” Manahan said.

“The focus now is building on the studio’s huge recent success, and converting that momentum into long-term partnerships with ambitious brands and agencies.”

Manahan has worked across media, finance, technology, lifestyle, government and FMCG, partnering with brands including NewsCorp, Reckitt, Citibank, PwC, IBM, Telstra and Unilever.

Turner joins as producer with more than a decade of experience across live broadcast, sports production and advertising.

Her background includes TVCs, online video, print and social content, with experience managing end-to-end production, budgets and timelines.

“VANDAL’s work sits at the intersection of craft, technology, and storytelling, which is incredibly exciting,” Turner said.

“I’ve long admired VANDAL’s work, and am looking forward to collaborating with such an amazing team, diving into ambitious projects and helping to bring great work to life.”

Managing director Brenden Johnson says the appointments follow a period of growth.

“Clíona brings exceptional strategic and operational leadership that will be critical as we continue to scale and deepen our client partnerships, while Kate’s production expertise and calm, solutions-focused approach will elevate how we deliver work across the board,” he said.
