Val Morgan Digital has launched Ready, Steady, Offset, an initiative to test and learn best practices in sustainable digital advertising.

As part of Val Morgan Digital’s journey towards carbon positivity, Ready, Steady, Offset partners with Carbon Positive Australia allowing advertisers on The Latch to plant trees and offset the CO2 emitted from their campaign advertising impressions, among several upcoming regeneration initiatives.

Carbon Positive Australia is a charity that has restored degraded lands through ecologically sensitive planting for the last 20 years.

Catherine Patterson from Carbon Positive Australia said: “To date we have restored over 5,000 hectares, planted over 6 million trees, and captured 668,799 tonnes of carbon, collaborating with landholders, communities, and environmental organisations – and we’re so pleased to now have Val Morgan Digital come on board as a tree-planting partner.”

Amanda Bardas, publisher, Val Morgan Digital said: “This is just the start of our sustainability journey. We’re in phase one and know we have work to do to achieve our goal, which is to become carbon positive.

“The Latch will aim to plant 1000 trees by the end of 2022 which equates to 21,000 kilos of CO2 absorbed, and this is just the beginning for the Val Morgan Digital team.”

Ready, Steady, Offset, will kick off in partnership with Suncorp Bank, the official launch partner of Val Morgan Digital’s sustainability vertical.
