More than 300 people across the advertising industry in Sydney and Melbourne battled it out on the cricket pitch at the 12th annual UnLtd Big Clash cricket series.

New for 2026, agency teams were split into Indies and HoldCos.

In Melbourne, the Men’s Tech Team and Women’s Agencies Team won.

In Sydney, the HoldCos Team claims the Men’s title and Agencies Team won the Women’s match.

“What a game! I’m so proud of the team and we’re thrilled to take home the trophy and the bragging rights. While the competition was tight, the atmosphere was incredibly supportive, with everyone cheering each other on,” said Captain of the Women’s Agency Team, Kathryn Furnari.

“It was especially great to see so many people playing cricket for the first time and really getting stuck in.”

Spectators were treated to food, drinks and games by the series sponsors MiQ, Seven and QMS.

“MiQ is proud to sponsor the Big Clash. What a great way to kick off the year and get together with the industry with some healthy competition while raising money for UnLtd to help youth at risk,” said MiQ chief revenue officer and founder of the Big Clash series, Chris Freel.

“Our industry is driven by connection and the Big Clash is an incredible way to connect and great to see so many new faces this year.”

In Melbourne, George Hurley Wellington and Lexi Merton were named Players of the Day, with a special Alex Pekish Courage Award presented to Bill Anderson.

In Sydney, the Players of the Day were Anna Collin and Mitch Lovich. The winners of Seven’s Fastest Bowler in Adland competition in Sydney were Lachlan Anderson and Anna Collin.

The Big Clash series continues with Brisbane on March 12 and Adelaide on March 26.

“Congratulations to the winning teams and thank you to everyone who played, volunteered and cheered from the sidelines,” said UnLtd CEO Philippa Moig.

“In the era of AI, days like these are a great reminder of the importance of human connection – and our industry’s power to do good when we come together.

“I can’t wait to connect with the Brisbane and Adelaide community next as we continue the Big Clash series.”
