GroupM's media agency Mindshare has welcomed back Unilever's $40M account, after a competitive pitch.

PHD is the incumbent who won it from Mindshare initially in 2015.

Unilever, which houses brands including Lynx, Dove, Continental, Ben & Jerry’s, Comfort, Persil and more, confirmed the news with AdNews this morning.

"After a comprehensive tender process, Unilever Australia and New Zealand has appointed Mindshare as its media agency, effective January 2024," a Unilever spokesperson said.

"The tender was part of a periodic global review of Unilever’s media agencies in many markets to ensure best in class media agency partnerships. "

A spokesperson from PHD told AdNews the agency has enjoyed a 24-year partnership with Unilever across ANZ.

"During this time, we have delivered incredible work that achieved phenomenal business and media results across the entire portfolio of brands," PHD said.

"We wish them all the best moving forward."

Mindshare gave no official comment to AdNews.
