UMM and SOMO retain TCL account

UMM and SOMO have retained TCL Electronics Australia after a competitive pitch, extending a partnership that began in 2024.

The agencies handle TCL’s social, influencer, creative, web, EDM and SEO work in Australia. 

UMM was reappointed for its technology and digital capability.

“We have established a strong partnership with the ANZ marketing team, who are a creative and passionate crew of experienced professionals and we are excited to continue our collaborative and strategic journey, establishing the TCL brand as one of the most recognised in Australia,” UMM’s joint managing director, Benoit Thorp, said. 

“Localising global strategies is our specialty and it requires a deep understanding of complex international brands and how they will resonate with consumers in Australia and New Zealand. 

“It’s already been a rewarding and transformative journey and we look forward to seeing TCL grow into new consumer categories.”

TCL’s brand manager, Matt Laliotis, said UMM and SOMO have been instrumental in elevating TCL’s digital and social footprint across ANZ. 

“Their strategic approach and commitment to excellence continue to deliver strong results, and we’re looking forward to the future,” he said. 

The agencies recently delivered TCL’s annual TV campaign and will lead the summer AC push for the BreezeIN and FreshIN ranges.
