Industry figure Gawen Rudder died on Wednesday afternoon.
He was a long time manager for membership, business services and advice at what was then the Advertising Federation of Australia and now the Advertising Council of Australia.
Gawen spent a lifetime dedicated to the industry he loved, working with dozens of advertising greats including Phillip Adams, Ted Horton, David Mattingly, Hugh Mackay, Mo & Jo, Russel Howcroft and many others.
His career included extended stints at MDA, MOJO and John Bevins before Lesley Brydon, CEO of the Advertising Federation of Australia (AFA), recruited Gawen as Member Services Manager in 2005.
In that capacity, his greatest passion was running the AFA Graduate Training, a program that many current industry leaders completed.
Sincere condolences to Gawen’s wife Marilyn, daughter Astrid and son Guy.
