Toys“R”Us has kicked off the Christmas season with an advertising campaign that hopes to make the holiday one to remember.

The campaign launches this week on the Toys“R”Us website at toysrus.com.au, YouTube and social channels.

It highlights this year’s challenges faced by Aussie families and people all over the world, celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the magic of love and connection.

Toys“R”Us Australia CEO Louis Mittoni says the video, devised by the Toys“R”Us team, is inspired by the heart-warming message that love and connection is all around us and that together we can amplify this most magical part of humanity to make Christmas 2020 more memorable than ever.

“We are custodians of tradition, and Christmas is that wondrous part of the year that captures the joyous tradition of gift-giving," Mittoni says.

"The gift of giving promotes feelings of gratitude and connection and Toys“R”Us hopes to be a part of facilitating the creation of lifetime memories in all children, young and young at heart, this Christmas.

“We look forward to providing families and gift-givers the widest range of toys this Christmas that will create memories to last a lifetime.”

The Toys“R”Us Christmas video campaign also follows last week’s announcement of ASX listed company Funtastic’s proposed acquisition of the Hobby Warehouse Group, home to Hobby Warehouse, Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us.

The proposal is due to go before shareholders November 23.
