Tourism Victoria calls creative review

By By Helen Hull | 25 February 2011

EXCLUSIVE: Tourism Victoria is to review its $5-million creative account, which has produced some of the most memorable ad campaigns of recent decades through long-term incumbent Publicis Mojo.

The government funded body will issue a tender for creative and digital services next week, with Mojo's three-year contract due to expire on 30 September.

Mojo has worked with Tourism Victoria for 18 years on the account, which is aimed at promoting Melbourne and the wider Victoria region domestically.

The review will see the agency defend the account for the sixth time, and follows the departures of key staff within the creative department.

Mojo's creative ranks have been depleted since the departure of Publicis Mojo regional creative director Darren Spiller and art director Christy Peacock to Publicis Groupe-owned Fallon's Minneapolis office in June 2009.
