Transit media player TorchMedia has been awarded a contract by Transport for NSW to install, manage and maintain advertising across the Parramatta Light Rail network.

The agreement starts October and includes a portfolio of static and digital advertising assets throughout the network.

It follows a competitive procurement process.

Melanie Biggs, TorchMedia's head of commercial, said the appointment marked a defining milestone for the business.

"We're delighted to have been selected as the advertising partner for the Parramatta Light Rail network,” she said.

“This appointment reflects the strength of TorchMedia's capability and our long-term commitment to investing in premium transport environments that create value for both advertisers and our concession partners.

"Parramatta Light Rail is a transformative piece of infrastructure for Western Sydney, connecting communities, businesses and key destinations across one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.

“We look forward to delivering an innovative advertising network that enhances the passenger experience while providing brands with meaningful opportunities to connect with audiences throughout their journey.”

The Parramatta Light Rail will support Western Sydney's growth by connecting residential communities, employment precincts, health services, educational institutions and entertainment destinations. As the region's population and economy grow, the network will give advertisers access to one of Australia's fastest-expanding markets.

TorchMedia's network will offer brands opportunities to engage audiences through a combination of digital and static on-vehicle advertising assets positioned throughout the network.

The contract adds to TorchMedia's investment in transport infrastructure and expands its metro and regional portfolio, reflecting the company's strategy of working with government and infrastructure concession partners to deliver advertising environments across Australia.
