Today the Brave new hires.
Today the Brave has appointed five senior staff across its group, social and shopper teams.
Gina O'Donnell has been appointed group account director, Liam O'Brien senior account manager, Rubee Stephenson content creator, Tiana Iacono senior account manager and Eliza Laurence-Chenu account director.
The expanded team follows a string of new client wins including Law Partners, Elanco Pharmaceuticals, LGT Crestone and HVLH.
O'Donnell joins as group account director from McCann London, bringing a decade of global brand and integrated marketing experience across APAC and EMEA for clients including Qatar Airways and Mastercard.
O'Donnell said independent agencies were well placed to lead long-term brand building.
"As businesses rediscover the value of long-term brand building, independent agencies are uniquely positioned to lead the way - agile, deeply invested, and genuinely in the business," O'Donnell said.
O'Brien joins as senior account manager from Clemenger BBDO, bringing a background in long-term client partnerships and content production for clients including IAG and Samsung.
Stephenson joins as content creator from Ogilvy, adding social-first craft across ideation, copywriting, filming and editing for KFC, Coca-Cola and Cadbury. Iacono joins as senior shopper account manager from VML, with experience across brand, social and shopper marketing for Coca-Cola, Haleon and Takis.
Laurence-Chenu joins as account director on the shopper team, returning to Australia after three years in the UK, where she built experience delivering integrated solutions and brand growth.
Jaimes Leggett, managing partner at Today the Brave, said the agency had built its business by being bold in its work and its partnerships.
"Growth for us is a by-product of building a creatively ambitious business rather than simply a bigger one," Leggett said.
“When the work works, everything moves forward. So the focus is simple: keep raising the bar, keep bringing in people who make the product better, and don't slow down. Hiring this level of senior talent means we can keep pushing harder and faster without losing what makes us us.”
