The WFH Diaries - Brett Daniher at Bastion EBA

By AdNews | 15 May 2020

AdNews brings the stories of those working from home (WFH) in the advertising and media industry during the coronavirus crisis.

Brett Daniher is head of commercial at Bastion EBA.

How are you dealing with the silence?
With twin two-year-olds at home who have quite the set of lungs, silence isn’t something I’m experiencing a great deal at the moment. I’ve managed to tuck myself away upstairs though so it’s nice to hear them playing in the backyard.

What’s the upside?
Work-wise our whole team has taken to WFH like ducks to water which has made the transition so much better. Banter hasn’t dropped at all it has just gone digital like everything else, I think the world might be running out of GIFs for us though.

Personally the upside has been more time with the family and managing to find some time to exercise again.

The downside?
Trying to keep connected to the internet, despite having a wifi extender on the end of a long extension lead I still can’t quite manage to find the perfect spot.

How are you using the commuting time saved?
Finally back running after a very long hiatus.

I am looking forward to being back in the office because…
We’re a tight group who build off each other’s energy every day, it’s just something that you can’t fully replace (despite giving it a good nudge) through video calls.
