The Voice sings but is not as pitch perfect as last year

The grand final of The Voice hit a high note last night with 1.57 million metro viewers tuning in to watch Anja Nissen be named the winner of the third series of the show. However even though final won the night, viewers were down 31.7% on last year.

Last year's winner announcement for The Voice drew the highest ratings the singing competition had enjoyed all year with 2.3 million metro viewers tuning in.

Last night the lead up to the winner reveal attracted slightly more viewers, drawing in 1.66 million, however, that was also down 18.2% from last years audience of 2.03 million.

Elsewhere Masterchef's finals week managed to keep the cooking program above the million mark with the show drawing in 1.16 million metro viewers.

The early evening game show battle raged on with Channel Nine's Hot Seat coming in at 18th spot drawing in 674,000 viewers followed by Network Ten's Family Feud attracting 634,000 viewers to secure 19th spot, only scraping in above Channel Seven's Million Dollar Minute on 633,000, in 20th.

Rounding out the top ten was Nine News coming in third spot with 1.28 million viewers followed by Nine News at 6:30 with 1.20 million viewers. Coming in fifth was Seven News with 1.19 viewers, with A Current Affair coming in sixth place with 1.17 million. Seven News / Today Tonight came in eight with 1.10 million followed by Home and Away with 939,000 and rounding out the top 10 was ABC News with 831,000.
