Independent agency The Hallway has appointed Iain MacMillan as creative director of its Melbourne office following recent business wins and client growth.

MacMillan has worked at creative agencies on both sides of the Tasman.

Career highlights to date include launching NZ TV Channel Four with Special Group Auckland, and winning gold Lions with Colenso BBDO for Pedigree Selfie Stix and Anchor Milk X-Ray Casts.

He joins The Hallway after a recent stint at CHE Proximity Melbourne.

“With Iain as creative director in Melbourne and Jess Thompson and Aldo Ferretto recently promoted as CDs in Sydney, our creative lineup is stronger than ever; a brilliant team that is laser-focused on driving great business results through world class creativity,” The Hallway partner and executive creative director Simon Lee says.

MacMillan will work with clients including ANZ, Google and Kmart.

“I’m a strong believer in the power of creativity to grow businesses," MacMillan says.

"Simon and Jules (Hall, founder and CEO) have built an impressive agency with this as their guiding purpose and I’m excited about channelling this focus into creating groundbreaking work for our clients."
