Young Lions roar again

News Corp Australia has opened entries for the 2015 Cannes Young Lions competition. Now in its seventh year, the competition searches for the best young talent in media, marketing, digital, film and print to represent Australia at the 2015 Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France.

Herceg gets the nod at STW

STW Group has appointed Rose Herceg as its chief strategy officer, after she worked on and off for the agency for the best part of a decade.

Herceg was planning director at STW from 2008 to 2010, but has worked on projects for the agency group on and off.

She is reportedly already working on “a number of transformative projects with big clients”, but officially starts in the new role today, reporting to CEO Mike Connaghan.

Ford syncs to Fairfax

Fairfax Radio Network has been signed as Ford's exclusive commerical radio partner, in a move that sees Fairfax's station apps accessible in new Ford vehicles.

Ford's new dashboard app technology - Sync AppLink - allows users with compatible smartphone applications to use the vehicle's display screen, voice control system or steering wheel-mounted buttons to interact with mobile apps.

The partnership means that Fairfax's iOS apps are now accessible through the system, with more than one million Ford Sync AppLink-enable vehicles being sold worldwide to date.
