The Royals hire dynamic duo

Independent creative agency The Royals has added Michaela Futcher and Andrew Reeves to the agency.

Futcher joins as planning director, having recently departed Droga5 after nearly four years as senior strategic planner.

Meanwhile, Reeves will become The Royals' communications director in Melbourne, and has experience in several agencies including Naked.

Smollan grabs US deal

STW's Smollan Group has announced a tie-up with US-based Advantage Sales & Marketing, with Advantage to make an investment in Smollan to seal the deal.

Under the deal, STW's retail solutions company will take responsibility for execution in Australia, Africa, the Middle Eastm South America, , and East and South Asia while Advantage will focus on the US.

The two companies will offer a unified offering in Europe through a newly formed joint venture.
