The Block launches with 947,000 metro viewers

The latest season premiere of home renovations program The Block has attracted more than 900,000 metro viewers for Nine, topping the night in entertainment programs.

The series attracted 947,000 metro viewers for Nine, down from last year’s launch which pulled in 991,000 metro viewers.

Another 288,000 regional viewers tuned in, taking the episode's audience to 1.235 million viewers. Last year’s season launch attracted a total 1.33 million viewers.

The Block was followed by Seven’s Farmer Wants a Wife which attracted 864,000 metro viewers, and another 536,000 regional viewers for a national audience of 1.4 million.
