Errol Parker and Clancy Overall, the editors of the Betoota Advocate who will MC the AWARD awards this week, have a few tips for those in the running with a gong or two.

The 43rd AWARD Awards will be live online from 3:00pm AEST this Friday.

The list of finalists is here

Parker and Overall: “We're going to start with the advertising creatives to the Gen X geniuses, still talking about MOJO or getting race tips from Singer (John Singleton) ... we'd like to ask you to please dim the lights in your gorgeous converted Alexandria warehouse and put the cavoodle outside. It's time to be social."

And to the millennial prodigies -- those creatives that made a name for themselves by being able to explain what facebook was to your bosses -- it's time for you to dust off your black Nikes -- it’s time to doll up.

"To the suits don't worry this won't drag on too long. Tonight is the creative's night. As we all know because without creatives we wouldn't have advertising.

”There are pigeons out there that can be trained to answer emails and negotiate the Coca-Cola account. The age of the suit is coming to an end so it's time to take the plunge and enrol in Award School like you say you will each year but don't.

“To the agency executives, the bigwigs, thank you for paying for everything again.”
