The Bachelorette finale down 400,000 metro viewers

Ten’s The Bachelorette finale was significantly down from last year’s season ending, dropping more than 400,00 metro viewers.

The reality dating show wrapped up last night with 573,000 metro viewers for the Final Decision segment and 500,000 metro viewers for the Grand Finale segment.

This is compared to last year’s season, which featured Gogglebox star Angie Kent, which attracted 1.01 million metro viewers for the Final Decision and 849,000 for the Grand Finale.

Last night, The Bachelorette Final Decision attracted 308,000 metro viewers in the 18-49 demographic, while the Grand Finale attracted 266,000. Meanwhile the Final Decision attracted 339,000 metro viewers aged 25-54, and the Grand Finale attracted 298,000.

"The Bachelorette Australia was the #1 show in its timeslot in under 50s. It was the #1 entertainment program across social media platforms and grew its live stream audiences,” says a Network 10 spokesperson.

"We would like to thank the teams at Warner Bros. and Network 10 for a wonderful season, and all our partners and sponsors for their support. We look forward to bringing viewers The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette Australia in 2021.”

Topping the night for entertainment programs was Nine’s The Block. Last night’s episode attracted 739,000 metro viewers. This includes 323,000 viewers aged 18-49 and 366,000 aged 25-54.
