TBWA and EssenceMediacom top new business league

Creative agency TBWA and media agency EssenceMediacom have topped consultancy R3's December's new business league.

For the year to December, creative agencies had 53.4% fewer wins than in 2022 and 51.8% less new business revenue. 

Media agencies did better with 11.6% more wins and 4.2% more new business revenue. 

Together that's a 25.7% decrease of new business wins and 32.6% decrease in revenue for 2023.

In December, TBWA won an estimated 11.4M (USD) in new business with four wins including Telstra, Pernod Ricard, Kraft Heinz and Moccona.

The second ranked creative agency M&C Saatchi won 9.6 million (USD) in new business with 40 wins including Smart Group Retained, Vic Gov - Dept of Education and a MYOB project.

In December, EssenceMediacom won an estimated 15.1M (USD) in new business with seven wins including Google, Persol and Victory Blinds.

The second ranked media agency Initiative won 7.6M (USD) in new business with 16 wins including Smart Group Retained, Vic Gov - Dept of Education and a MYOB project.
