Tapt Media has promoted group business director, Luke Cahill, to the newly expanded role of head of direct Sales, Sydney and Melbourne, effective July 6.
Cahill, who previously led the Melbourne direct sales division, will now take commercial responsibility for both major metropolitan markets.
The consolidated remit aims to streamline Tapt Media’s commercial strategy and accelerate direct advertiser growth across its audio and digital network.
In his new role, he is tasked with replicating Melbourne's growth across the Sydney market, and with expanding partnerships with direct clients.
"Luke has driven exceptional growth in Melbourne through sharp commercial instincts and strong team leadership,” said Brian Gallagher, media chief sales officer at Tapt.
“Bringing our Sydney and Melbourne direct teams under his purview ensures we have a unified, high-energy approach to delivering results for our commercial partners."
Cahill said he was looking forward to bringing the tactics he employed in Melbourne to the Sydney market.
"We’ve seen phenomenal success in Melbourne by focusing on deep, results-driven relationships that look past traditional transactional selling,” he said.
“Audio and live streaming are sitting in a real sweet spot right now. I’m looking forward to working closely with the Sydney team to scale what we’ve built in Melbourne and unlock new opportunities for our advertisers."
