Independent agency TABOO has made a series of strategic hires across following a period of strong business momentum.
The appointments come off the back of several new partnerships including Brown Family Wine Group, SEC, Remedy Drinks and Haier, alongside deepening relationships with existing clients such as TAC, the Department of Transport and Planning, Tennis Australia, Vicinity Centres and BYD.
In response, TABOO has expanded its creative, production and account management teams.
The new hires strengthen the agency's ability to deliver integrated ideas that land in culture and drive commercial impact.
"We've found a sweet spot at TABOO that proves intoxicating at luring the best talent in the biz. It's a little thing called flexibility," said executive creative director Charlotte Adorjan.
"Can't work five days a week? Then don't. Need to work from home or work from out of state? Go for it, we'd hate to lose your brilliance. Need flexible hours because of kids, life, medical appointments or because you're just not a morning person? You do you."
Adorjan said talented people often don't fit outdated work moulds.
"The industry needs to break more of the stupid ye olde rules it was built on, rather than break its precious people," she said.
"Great things happen when you do."
TABOO managing director James Mackinnon said the agency is grateful to be in a position to welcome people of this calibre.
"Not because they make us bigger, but because they make our work sharper," he said.
"Our job is to keep upping the ante, keep attracting people who will challenge us, keep us uncomfortable in the best way, and help push our work further to deliver results clients can feel in their business."
The new hires include Alice Cloake as content creative director, Angus Pearce as general manager, Ashleigh Randall as experiential producer, Bruce Williams as senior creative, Carla Robinson as senior account director, Cecilia To as senior experiential producer, Mel Stevens and Lauren Fitzgerald as senior creatives, Kate Blank as experiential creative director, Luke Fleming as group account director, Lewis Brown as designer and Montana McInnes as senior account manager.
