A sporting double-act worked wonders for Channel Nine, while The Big Adventure continues to suffer for Channel Seven.

The latest OzTAM ratings revealed the wisdom of showing the cricket T20 Internationals in all markets, with games two and three played on Friday and Sunday proving to be hits.

On Friday night it pulled in 858,000 viewers while it built on momentum on Sunday night with the game three decider pulling in 1.12 million viewers.

While cricket helped Nine to a narrow win on Friday night, it absolutely romped home on Sunday with a prime time share of 35.1% to Seven's 25.5%

While the weekend proved to be a smash for Nine, Seven's Big Adventure was down yet again, this time to 444,000 which is a 26% drop from last Sunday.

Last week Seven confirmed that it would start showing the reality series on Sunday only instead of twice a week, while denying it had cut the order for the show.

While the ratings were down for The Big Adventure, it is unclear whether this reflects a waning interest in the reality show or whether going up against the T20 International is a losing bet.

Interestingly, Surveillance Oz which also aired against the cricket for Channel Seven managed to attract 932,000 viewers to make the show its highest non-news program for the night.

Elsewhere on the schedule, The Embassy continued to perform well for Nine while the repeat episodes of Modern Family was Ten's highest rating show on Sunday night.
