Suntory Oceania has appointed Bríd Drohan-Stewart chief marketing officer for its beverage and food division.

Drohan-Stewart joins from Woolworths Group where she was marketing director of fresh food for five years. She led the Countdown rebrand to Woolworths and introduced Everyday Rewards in New Zealand.

She has 25 years of marketing experience at Woolworths, McDonald's and The Coca-Cola Company, where she led campaigns including Share a Coke and Diet Coke's UK relaunch.

"Working with Suntory Oceania's iconic brands, which can be disruptive, dynamic, and provide more choice to customers, creates enormous potential to shape the future of the beverage industry across Australia and New Zealand," Drohan-Stewart said.

At Suntory, Drohan-Stewart will lead the non-alcohol portfolio in Australia and New Zealand, including V Energy, Suntory BOSS Coffee and Maximus.

"As we pioneer new beverage experiences, inspired by innovation and craftsmanship, Bríd will play a critical role in leading a new era for our portfolio in Australia and New Zealand," Suntory Beverage and Food Oceania CEO Dai Minato said.

She starts in April and will be based in Sydney.

Suntory Oceania is the region's fourth largest multi-beverage group with more than 40 brands including spirits, ready-to-drink alcohol, juice, water, soft drinks, coffee, energy and sports drinks.
