Subaru set to appoint Isobar

Japanese car maker Subaru is on the brink of appointing Aegis-owned digital network Isobar to handle its Australian digital account.

Isobar and Subaru are in final contract negotiations, which will see Isobar handle digital strategy, planning and creative, AdNews understands.

The previous incumbent of five years, Market United, repitched along with three other agencies in a five-way contest.

Subaru's digital account was initially won by digital agency Clear Blue Day in 2006, prior to its merger with digital agencies Market United and Freestyle Media.

A spokesman for Subaru declined to comment on the appointment, but confirmed a pitch had taken place.
