Strategic insights and research company 5D celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, with about 100 clients, staff and suppliers.
Founder and CEO Lyndall Spooner told the crowd the company's origins were modest.
In two decades, just 84 people have worked at 5D, with many current staff having been with the business for more than a decade.
"When 5D started, there wasn't a grand vision. David and I just wanted to do good work, work with people we genuinely respected, and pay the mortgage," Spooner said, referring to COO David Gemmola.
"What I didn't realise at the time was that focusing on the work and the people would end up shaping not just the business, but a big part of our lives.
"Thank you for helping us prove that twenty years on, the key to success is still doing great work with great people."
