Spark Foundry has scooped the Peters Ice Cream account from Zenith

Publicis Media's Spark Foundry has been named as the media agency for Peters Ice Cream, following a competitive pitch.

The account, said to be worth around $10m, includes iconic brands such as Maxibon, Drumstick, Connoisseur, Proud & Punch, Icy Pole, Frosty Fruits and Peters Original, among others.

Spark Foundry replaces incumbent Zenith, also a Publicis-owned agency, from 1 August.

“This is a great result for us and we are so excited to be working with the team at Peters," Spark Foundry Australia CEO Sue Squillace said.

"This is a testament to our people and culture and more importantly our approach to the communications that we developed for Peters. It’s also a reflection of a collaborative partnership developed throughout the process that saw great alignment of the business and what we can achieve together moving forward.”

Peters Ice Cream director of marketing, sales and product technology Emma-Jane Collins, says the brand is excited to continue its partnership with Publicis Media. Peters Ice Cream also works with Publicis-owned Leo Burnett as its creative agency.

"Spark Foundry shares many of our values. Sue, (managing director) Peter Butler, (group account director) Kate Provan, and the Spark Foundry team demonstrate a passion to find new ways to improve our business and excite the market. We look forward to our collaboration and partnership with Spark Foundry.”

Last year, indie agency Deepend led a campaign for Peters' brand Maxibon, recreating iconic love scenes from movies of the past in promotion of a Tinder-like app for ice cream lovers.
