Southern Cross Travel Insurance has appointed 303 Sydney to its advertising account, following a four-way competitive pitch.

303 will oversee the account on a full service basis, handling creative, search and digital responsibilities, as well as media planning and buying.

Previously, the insurer had separate agencies which handled creative, media and digital duties. The brand has decided to consolidate its arrangements with one agency.

Southern Cross Travel Insurance chief executive Craig Morrison said: "We’re excited to be working with 303. Their creative and strategic thinking combined with their digital and media capabilities aligns with our vision to raise the bar on how we market travel insurance."

303 managing director Jon Mckie said: "This is another significant win for the agency in a category where effective creative advertising seems almost completely absent.

"[Southern Cross Travel Insurance] are an innovative, high growth business and have a travel insurance model and product that more people need to know about."

Southern Cross Travel Insurance is a direct-to-consumer web based insurer which operates across Australia and New Zealand.
