Hunter Water has named SOLVD Agency as its end-to-end marketing partner, following a competitive pitch process, AdNews can reveal.

The Newcastle-based independent agency will lead the utility’s campaign strategy, creative development and media buying.

SOLVD principal consultant Sam Gannon said the agency is looking forward to continuing its partnership with the regionally based organisation.

SOLVD has worked with Hunter Water in the past, most notably on its 2024 water conservation campaign.

“We’re really excited to continue our work with Hunter Water, a progressive organisation tackling important challenges with purpose in our region. A region we’re so proud to be a part of,” Gannon said.

“Things are about to kick off and we’re looking forward to driving Hunter Water’s next phase of campaign work with impact.”

Hunter Water’s group manager of communications and engagement, Renee Fedder, said SOLVD impressed throughout the tender process.

“Our tender process involved a robust evaluation, with tenderers assessed on a range of criteria including their capability and experience, methodology and resourcing model for delivering the scope of works,” she said.

“We’re excited to work together with the team at SOLVD. They’re an experienced and skilled local agency, and we look forward to collaborating closely to deliver our marketing campaigns on a range of important topics."

Fedder said the campaigns would play a key role in public engagement across the Lower Hunter region.

“Marketing campaigns are one of a suite of communication tools that we use to engage our customers and community across the Lower Hunter region, whether that be to encourage behaviour change to save water, educate on what can and can’t be flushed or promote our support options to assist customers in need,” she said.
