Social Garden appoints Rebecca Tos chief operating officer

Independent performance marketing agency Social Garden has appointed Rebecca Tos chief operating officer. 

She brings 25 years of experience to help shape the future of the agency, steering it through its next phase of development in media, performance, marketing automation and AI.

"Bringing someone of Bec's calibre into Social Garden is a big moment for us," said George Glover, co-founder and CEO of Social Garden.

"We're seeing real momentum in media, data and AI-led transformation and we needed someone who's scaled agencies through that. From the first meeting it was obvious she understood the changing landscape, the opportunities in front of us and our strategy, and just as importantly she's a brilliant cultural fit for the team."

Tos will lead commercialisation of emergent streams, scaling of the organisation's operations and drive strategic client solutions for sustainable growth.

"After meeting Mike, George and the rest of the board, I knew I'd found a team whose culture & way of thinking was exactly what I was looking for," Tos said.

"We're in the midst of one of the biggest industry shifts, certainly in my career. Some may say it's daunting. I see a radically different future and it's incredibly exciting to help shape it, with a team aligned on what a modern marketing business should be."

Founded in 2013, Social Garden has grown from a performance specialist into a full-funnel agency with clients in the property, education and financial sectors.

"Rebecca's appointment is a clear signal of where we're taking the business," said Steve Kloss, chairman of Social Garden’s parent company Third Door Ventures.

"We're investing in leadership that can commercialise new streams, scale operations and keep our culture strong while we grow."

Social Garden has completed five strategic acquisitions in the past five years. With Tos on board, the business plans to accelerate its momentum with further expansion in Sydney and a strengthened national footprint in media.

Tos starts this week and is based in Sydney.
