Soap Creative managing director Ross Raeburn is making the switch to IPG Mediabrands where he will take on the role of commercial director from early August.

Raeburn has been MD of Soap Creative for the past five years. The agency was acquired by Dentsu Aegis in February and paired with its other digital agency, Isobar.

A digital marketing strategist for 16 years, Raeburn has been tasked to work across all aspects of the business and its many major clients.

“His main remit will be to further evolve and apply the group’s capabilities to deliver more refined and effective business communications solutions,” said a statement from the company.

“Ross has been on our most-wanted-list for a senior role here for many years,” said IPG Mediabrands global CEO and chairman of Australia, Henry Tajer.

“I have worked in parallel with him on client assignments at our respective agencies and I admire his professional skills, vision for his clients and his approach to talent development," Tajer said.

Raeburn said Mediabrands is a "very interesting and impressive group of businesses" that have rapidly embraced ownership and leadership in digital communications for its clients.

"I’m looking forward to joining the impressive team, adding my own professional experience to their existing momentum," Raeburn said.
