Snooze hires former Kmart marketer

MELBOURNE: Bedding retailer Snooze has appointed former Kmart general manager of marketing Sarah Baxter as national marketing & brand manager, AdNews magazine revealed today.

Baxter, who starts on 27 April, replaces the 13-year Snooze veteran Drew Warren-Smith, who resigned in early March [AdNews.com.au, 15 April]. Baxter resigned from her role at Kmart in August, just eight months after starting at the retailer [AdNews.com.au, 28 August 2009].

The change in marketing head comes as the retailer looks to expand from 70 franchises to become a 100-store network in the next three years.

Snooze managing director Simon Beaty told AdNews: “Sarah has extensive experience as head of marketing, having led marketing teams for various companies across retail, FMCG and financial services sectors in the UK and Australia.
