Craig Haskins, chief financial officer of Seven West Media, will retire after a transition period during the current quarter following completion of the company's merger with Southern Cross Media Group (SCA).
The announcement came today as the merged entity, trading under the ticker SXL, debuted on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Haskins has served as Seven West Media's CFO through a period of significant transformation, including navigating the company through the merger process with Southern Cross that created one of Australia's largest integrated media companies.
He was promoted to the role of CFO in 2024 following a string of redundancies at Seven West Media and a new strategy implementation.
Toby Potter will remain as interim CFO of the merged entity while a search for a permanent replacement is completed.
The company also identified managing director and CEO Jeff Howard and Potter as key management personnel for the combined group.
Haskins' departure marks the end of an era for Seven West Media, which ceased trading on the ASX and will be delisted tomorrow as it becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Southern Cross Media Group.
The merger, which received overwhelming shareholder support with 99% voting in favour, combined Seven's national television network and publishing assets with Southern Cross' radio footprint and digital audio platform LiSTNR.
The merged entity controls 104 radio stations, the Seven Network television operation, multiple publishing assets including The West Australian, and digital platforms including 7plus and LiSTNR, with forecast revenue of $1.96 billion.
