Schweppes Australia has awarded BD Network a promotional campaign following a competitive pitch one year after the UK-based network opened its first Australian outpost.

The agency, which opened an office in Melbourne last year, will work on a campaign with a focus on mixing due to launch later in the year.

BD Network managing director Jonny Clow told AdNews the agency had extensive experience in the carbonated drinks category, having worked on the Coca-Cola account for eight years in the the UK.

“We have just appointed three new creatives having recently won some more new business and recently launching Big M in the Queensland market.”

Former TBWA Singapore copywriter Paul Allen joined the agency this week as senior copywriter, while Brett Edwards and Marcus NG joined as designers from Frontier Advertising and DNA Branding respectively.

The news follows the appointment of Sputnik Melbourne as the digital agency of record for the Schweppes brand last week.
