Hamish and Andy are secretly coming back to drive a week earlier, and celebrating the fact with a giant billboard.

The first campaign celebrating the fact that Hamish and Andy are coming back to the drive slot with Southern Cross Austereo is rolling out, and both its TV and out of home advertising will be Shazamable.

Users will be able to Shazam the TV ad, but SCA has also become one of the first brands to sign up to 'visual shazamming'.

The campaign will also feature transit media, digital, online, and social elements.

By Shazamming, users will be able to access extra content in what SCA called a media first.

“This new campaign launches Hamish and Andy back into national drive around the country in a big way,” SCA's head of marketing and communications Nikki Clarkson said.

“We have a multi-tiered campaign with a strong focus on creating awareness for their return to drive and further engagement through mobile and digital.”

The return of Hamish and Andy has caused ripples throughout the industry, with arguments on whether Hamish and Andy will be enough to turn around the network.

Hamish and Andy will be back from July 13, but “secretly a week earlier”
