SCA has made several new appointments to its Sydney and Melbourne news audio teams.

In Sydney, Micaela Savage joins as drive journalist and Loren Howarth as a news writer, working closely with the 2Day FM team creating news content for The Morning Crew.

Siobhan Caulfield has been promoted to be second-in-charge for the Sydney news team in addition to her breakfast news duties for Triple M Sydney.

In Melbourne, Celeste Mitsiou joins the newsroom to provide breakfast journalist support on-air across workdays on The Fox and Triple M. Monisha Iswaran joins to provide news support to all dayparts on The Fox and Triple M in Melbourne.

Consumption of local news in the on-demand audio space has grown by 329% year-on-year for SCA, according to OmnyStudio Analytics, with more than 6.7 million news downloads, an average of more than 128,000 downloads each week.

“We’re adding to our high calibre audio news team thanks to this continued growth and high engagement with our audience,” says SCA head of news operations Natasha Jobson.

“From bite-sized breaking news explainers to deep dives, SCA has the community covered via the LiSTNR app and the Hit and Triple M networks.”
