Sydney independent agency Sandbox Media has won the media account for SMS Healthcare, which operates 16 vision clinics, seven laser centres and a day surgery across Australia.

The group owns brands including Lasersight, Meadownick and Sydney Eye Clinic.

Chief marketing officer Vanessa Wolczak said the agency was selected for its strategic approach and focus on business outcomes.

"Sandbox Media stands out for their strategic thinking and clear focus on driving meaningful business outcomes," Wolczak said.

"As we continue to grow nationally across multiple brands and markets, it was critical for us to partner with an agency that could balance strong data-led planning with local market nuance.

“We’re excited to be working together and confident this partnership will support our next phase of growth."

Sandbox Media CEO Luke Sullivan said the agency had been impressed by SMS Healthcare’s operations.

"Since meeting with Vanessa and the team, we were taken by their enthusiasm and passion for the industry,” Sullivan said.

“When we toured the clinics and met their patient-facing operations teams, it was clear to see the care, quality and professionalism in the business. Our team has been all-in on this exciting partnership and the possibilities that lie ahead.

“Like all good strategy, we started with data and research and will continue to monitor that closely.

“Each state and brand has its own unique market dynamics, and we’re really happy with the plans in place and executing for the right results."

Sullivan said winning the SMS Healthcare media account was a testament to the team’s hard work.

“We are so proud of our people who are driving exceptional client support standards and assisting leaders through change, particularly in a busy digital performance and social world."
