Samsung Ads Australia is hiring

Samsung Ads Australia confirmed the appointment of three new key members of its expanding Sydney-based team.

They are: Laura Wall ex-Shopper Media Group; Luke Fox ex-BBC Global News; and Sharon Miranda ex-News Corp.

The announcement follows the appointment of Alex Spurzem as general manager in July 2020.

"The combined expertise and market knowledge of these industry veterans will be huge assets to our business, enabling us to work ever more closely with advertisers and agencies to support their needs. We are always working to build out our proposition and help unlock the potential of CTV for our clients, and Laura, Luke and Sharon are the team to do it.”

Samsung Ads Australia began its soft launch iin Australia at the end of 2020 after seeing strong growth in CTV adoption and an increasing demand for audience insights.

Samsung Ads delivers Advanced TV advertising at scale. Its smart TV advertising solutions are built on data from millions of Smart TVs across Australia.

Laura Wall joins as the new head of agency development for Samsung Ads, after her role as head of programmatic at global media agency Shopper Media Group. Her role is to build relationships with agencies and trading desks, helping them plan for rapidly changing TV viewership habits. Wall was previously a senior agency manager at Seven West Media. Before that she held roles with both Fairfax and News Corp, after returning from London where she specialised in sponsorship with Global Radio and Digital Cinema Media. She is also a member of the IAB Australia DOOH Taskforce.

Luke Fox, formerly the head of programmatic trading APAC for BBC Global News, has joined Samsung Ads Australia as client solutions manager. His role includes the delivery of campaigns across Samsung Ad’s Smart TV Platform, listening to the industry and expanding the current offering. He comes from an adtech and media background with previous experience across media agencies and agency trading desks.

Sharon Miranda joins as the new head of operations for Samsung Ads Australia. She has specialised in commercial finance for more than a decade, previously as head of commercial advertising and sales strategy at NewsCorp, and general manager of finance and administration at True Alliance.

Launched in the US in 2015, Samsung Ads now operates in North and Latin America, Europe, Russia, South Korea, Australia and India.
