Sally Eagle and Jane Huxley.
Are Media has appointed Sally Eagle CEO, replacing Jane Huxley who is stepping down after five years leading the women's publisher.
Eagle, currently director of content, has been with Are Media for 16 years, having started in finance before moving through roles including publisher of books, customer director and three years leading content strategy.
Huxley led Are Media's transformation into a multiplatform content company, overseeing the acquisition of distribution platform Are Direct, a rationalisation of the brand portfolio and investment in digital infrastructure.
"Sally brings to the CEO role a unique blend of people leadership, commercial acumen, customer insights and a deep understanding of consumer engagement," said Are Media chairman Ben Hawter.
"The board is thrilled to be able to make an internal appointment and looks forward to working with Sally and the executive team as we continue the growth and development of Are Media."
The transition takes effect from early April.
