Rohan Sawyer steps down at Bastion

Rohan Sawyer has stepped down as experience managing director of Bastion after three years at the helm, AdNews can reveal.

Sawyer confirmed to AdNews he finished at the independent media agency last week.

Jack Watts, co-founder and executive director at Bastion, will act as interim managing director while the agency searches for a permanent replacement.

Sawyer joined Bastion in 2023, bringing an extensive background in marketing and commercial leadership and helping the independent agency continue its growth across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. 

He previously held roles as strategy and managing partner at Events, Sport, Entertainment (ESE), head of commercial and marketing for the 2017 Rugby World Cup and head of commercial and marketing at the Australian Turf Club.

AdNews is seeking comment from Bastion.
