Omnicom Media has appointed Ricky Chanana senior vice president, commercial, Omnicom Media Asia.

He will lead the expansion and adoption of Omnicom Media's commercial solutions – Omnet, Orion and Outcomes – across the Asia-Pacific region.

And Chanana will share the regional commercial portfolio with Simon Flaxman, who continues to lead the Australia and New Zealand business.

He brings more than 20 years of experience across the media and advertising industry, including nearly a decade leading commercial and strategic growth across global adtech businesses such as Unruly, Twitch (Amazon) and PubMatic.

"After nearly a decade leading commercial and strategic growth across global adtech businesses, I'm incredibly excited to be joining Omnicom in this new group-level role across Asia. Omnicom continues to lead through its commitment to digital transformation, data-driven capabilities and integrated solutions that help brands navigate an increasingly complex landscape,” Chanana said.

"With exceptional talent, market-leading capabilities, and a strong vision for the future, Omnicom is uniquely positioned to deliver meaningful business outcomes for clients across the region.

“I'm looking forward to bringing my experience across global adtech, programmatic, retail media, and digital ecosystems to help drive growth for Omnicom's agencies, clients, and partners throughout Asia Pacific.”

Paul Shepherd, chief commercial and trading officer at Omnicom Media APAC, said the appointment marks a pivotal moment for the company's commercial operations across Asia.

"Ricky's appointment marks a pivotal moment for our commercial operations across Asia. Asia represents tremendous opportunity for Omnicom's commercial products, and Ricky is exactly the leader we need to capitalise on it," Shepherd said.

“His deep expertise in adtech combined with his agency background, along with his proven track record in building strategic partnerships and driving commercial growth, makes him ideally suited to strengthen our competitive advantage across the region.”
