Renewal SA, part of the South Australian Government, is seeking a creative agency to help with its Playford Alive urban renewal project.
The selected agency will be responsible for the tasks and services including supporting continuity of marketing delivery across campaign activity, brand assets and project communications.
The successful agency must have an understanding, and experience in, implementing marketing campaigns across multiple platforms including radio, press, digital, onsite signage, outdoor, media, social media and other non-traditional marketing as required.
Demonstrated expertise within digital, online and social media platforms is critical.
The Playford Alive project was announced in 2008 as a partnership between Renewal SA, SA Housing Trust (the Trust), and the City of Playford.
Spanning approximately 1,000 hectares, Playford Alive is one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia. The project has revitalised the suburbs of Davoren Park, Smithfield Plains and Andrews Farm, while also enabling greenfield development in Munno Para.
Since commencement, Playford Alive has delivered a significant number of homes and key community infrastructure, including schools, a medical centre, the Munno Para Railway Station, wetlands and parklands, a $250 million town centre and town park, as well as a range of retail and commercial offerings.
Building on the performance of the Newton Boulevard precinct, a major expansion of the project was approved in mid-January 2025.
This expansion will see approximately 1,480 new homes delivered in the eastern section of Playford Alive. The 71-hectare extension in Munno Para will provide high-quality residential allotments, supporting housing demand and increasing the supply of affordable housing.
The tender opened on June 30 and will close July 28.
The appointment will be announced September 1 and contract will begin September 14.
