Media agency Wavemaker has been appointed to launch MuvAle, a beer from removalist website Muval aimed at improving the moving house experience.

The craft beers will be sent to Australians who refer the website instead of helping a friend move house. They are the handiwork of Straddie Brewing Co. on North Stradbroke Island.

The campaign will target thousands of people looking to move over summer through an OOH campaign, radio partnerships, digital and social media.

Muval CEO James Morrell says the offer takes the stress out of moving: “With more people moving house than ever before over the warmer months to come, Aussies will be able to help a mate without having to do the heavy lifting.”

Behind the brew, Muval commissioned Pureprofile to conduct a national survey in September. The poll of 1004 Australian adults nationally representative of the population found the most loathed favour to be asked by a mate is to help them move house.

Long-suffering friends will need to register their details on Muval and refer a friend to book their move on Muval. Once the move is complete, both the referrer and referee will receive a free six-pack of MuvAle Pale Ale.

Muval is experiencing a boom in people moving home. In the three months ending October 2021, Brisbane recorded 95% positive net migration, whilst Sydney recorded -47% net migration and Melbourne -55%.

Move on to get your beers:
Register your details and recommend Muval.
● Share the link with your friends OR tell them to use your insta handle as their promo code when they book their move.
● When their move is complete, Muval will email you to let you know your six-pack is ready to be shipped.
