David Pullinger, a former JCDecaux national sales director (independent agencies), has been appointed to the newly created role of general manager, independent agencies and direct sales, at outdoor specialist QMS Media.

He spent nearlya decade at APN Outdoor, where he was instrumental in driving significant revenue growth during a range of sales management roles, before moving to JCDecaux post the APN acquisition.

"I’ve watched QMS grow into a true market leader and have admired their customer first approach which has helped shape and progress the OOH industry," he says.

"I am thrilled to join the team at a crucial time where the business is set to drive further growth into the fast growing direct and independent agency groups; an opportunity I simply couldn’t refuse.”

QMS Media CEO John O’Neill says the appointment continues to leverage momentum into 2021 and beyond, off the back of recent contract acquisitions including the prestigious City of Sydney street furniture concession and launch of 7-Eleven’s small format digital network, IMPULSE.

“This newly created role is critical to delivering our strategic vision as we prepare to lead yet another transformational year for the sector," he says.

"David brings a wealth of senior sales leadership experience, market leading customer service and product knowledge.

"As our business continues to evolve and grow, David’s experience in managing high performing sales teams combined with his reputation and market understanding, will see him build on our solid foundations of quality and excellence for our clients across the fast growing Independent Agency & Direct Sales market.”
